Speed Babysitting

I walked past the Athenaeum Theatre in Melbourne last weekend and saw that the producers of the show "Menopause" have created a new musical called 'Motherhood - The Musical'! I loved Menopause so thought lets go and check this one out!

It is the story about the lifes of four mums, all totally different. There is the over-worked, underpaid stressed out mother of five. A career mum who works too much and barely sees her children. The single mum who's struggling to juggle it all and then there is the young woman about to have her first baby.

The three friends throw Amy (the first time mum to be) a babyshower and all the truth about motherhood comes out! The good, the bad and the ugly - dirty nappies, lazy husbands, juggling the children and a career and everything else in between. Not to forget first smiles and yummy baby cuddles.

In my opinion it is a very enjoyable show, good for a laugh on a Sunday afternoon. Most of the audience was mums by the look of it, but there was the odd guy in there as well having a good giggle every now and then.

Tena seems to have been one of the sponsors as there were free samples lying around everywhere which made us laugh. Now we definitely knew who the target audience was:-)
